How would we react if the economic and political order we know were to collapse overnight? The Political Fictions Crisis Cabinet is a participatory space for discussion and experimentation that uses fiction to collectively envision new models of coexistence. Based on an imaginary scenario, participants will debate and rehearse possible responses to a global crisis, exploring alternatives for building a new political ecology. The “Event” that the world’s elites feared—and for which they had been preparing for decades—a widespread popular revolt against the privatization and expropriation of the commons by the alliance between governments and economic elites—has taken place. The crisis was triggered by protests in Tuvalu against the government’s plan to grant development rights for an ecologically sensitive area—home to numerous protected animal and plant species—to build a luxury private resort. Those demonstrations soon spread to other territories, giving rise to an unprecedented popular uprising in various parts of the globe that has been intensifying over the past few months. The Buildng for Infinito Delicias received an HONORABLE MENTION. LARGE ADAPTIVE REUSE CATEGORY, at The MARCH Awards 2026, as selected by our jury of experts. The jury recognised Infinito Delicias as a compelling demonstration of how adaptive reuse can move beyond preservation to become an active framework for civic life. Rather than treating architecture as a fixed object, the project proposes a flexible and evolving environment where materials, spaces, and systems can adapt over time. By bringing together food, work, living, art, and culture, it shows how circularity, resource-conscious design, and ecology can shape generous, healthy, and inspiring places for people and communities.
